I used to wonder what ever happened to binary options as in 2017 to 2019, binary options was making a lot of noise but for all the wrong reasons. Many people have been arrested for fraud related to binary options but the product never disappeared.
Some sites got bigger and appear to be running a legit operation getting various banking or finance licenses.
With that said, it seems binary options is on the rise again as a product as it is closely associated with trading, CFDs, options, options trading and investing.

John Wright: after reviewing binary options, maybe 10 years ago and
John Wright: Yeah, I kind of left that space on the affiliate program review side as yeah, just thought it was pretty sketchy there's a lot of problems with binary options being labeled as fraudulent and A lot of countries banning it so it's has has binary options gone away Not quite because I mean, I think some of the keywords are now being moved around There are companies that do legal binary options as they contain different types of banking licenses depending on where they're operating But there are or there are also a lot of different companies that they're doing things like CFDs
John Wright: Options trading and investing so I think in the last I mean five years maybe even ten with the rise of
John Wright: cryptocurrency with Like you know with apps just being super easy to be able to get on your phone and you know doing things like Robin Hood Or depending on which country you're in I mean investing has never been easier to do and it's kind of very accessible And of course, you know when we talk about investing, you know, you start getting into the territory of going Okay, when does this turn into gambling? So yeah, I just did a newsletter this week on binary options and sure enough there are
John Wright: It's still kind of similar to iGaming in the sense that there's great markets and then there's the regulated market So it's kind of weird thinking about binary options as regulated But it looks like it's a thing and so we created a directory of the binary options affiliate programs that we can find Sure enough in the last maybe eight years There's quite a few of these companies that have just disappeared completely and if you search for keywords such as binary options
John Wright: Arrested you're gonna find a bunch of individuals that have been arrested for Different types of binary option schemes, but with that said there are still a lot of companies that they're doing it But I think the the keywords have changed a bit not always called options. It's more trading So yeah, I think we're starting to see more regulation coming in the finance space and maybe it's always been regulated But it's there if you want to look into it So the interest in binary options is actually seemingly gone back up So it had a spike ten years ago back in maybe 2010 2014
